I can't believe I forgot to post this yesterday...
The money for the sale of the current house came through right on schedule Thursday afternoon (they had to file the paperwork for all 18 sales before the developer's funding was finalized, then they paid all of us) and on Friday morning I closed on the new house. I take possession on the 27th (earlier if the seller is finished moving earlier), and on the 28th I'm meeting a friend there who's going to do a bunch of painting and other handyman chores. On July 4th, a landscaper friend is helping me relocate the roses and other plants.
Electrical work that was stipulated after the inspection didn't appear to have been completed, so the electrician was coming back yesterday to check on that. In the meantime, my world is full of boxes, and very confused animals (I have a box which is quickly filling up with dog toys... and unfilling... and refilling... Drummer has obviously decided that this is a fun new game).
