Sally dubbed this concert "Two Bands Joined at the Harpist", which is about the best description I can think of. :-)

Wild Mercy and Alair are putting on a joint concert for an evening of great Celtic music on Saturday, August 25, 7:00-10:00, at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Indianapolis, 615 W. 43rd St., just south of the Butler University campus. The Alair Celtic quartet will open, followed by Wild Mercy; the bands share a harpist [livejournal.com profile] harperjen, and will be performing five joint numbers at the end of the evening.

Alair (harp, flute, cello, violin) specializes in traditional Celtic music and gives their sound and arrangements a classical feel. Wild Mercy (harp, guitar, bass, keyboard, percussion, vocals) plays traditional and contemporary Celtic with an eclectic twist and tight vocal harmonies. Tickets: $6 in advance, $8 at the door, $5 for students, 12 and under free. (Advance tickets can be reserved by contacting any band member, since you may not see any of us between now and then.)
