I spent the morning at home with Chase, who started to at least seem a little more comfortable and less stressed by lunchtime. I carried him outside and stood him up in the grass (where he managed to stay upright long enough to pee), then carried him back in and settled him in my room, after making sure he drank a little water, then I was off to work for the afternoon.
I arrived home to find him asleep (in a different spot), and as soon as I opened the bedroom door, he sat up, then stood up, and promptly followed me all over the house and around the yard. Yay for upright and alert dogs! :-)
Apparently Deramaxx and Baytril are today's doggy wonder drugs, at least for Mr. Chase.
