36 hrs of gatorade and crackers...
1st 24 hours involved the highest fever I can remember having as an adult (almost 103).
Now I'm just mostly discovering that a body which has spent two days having crackers and gatorade and lying in bed isn't particularly willing to just spring back into normal daily activity. "Oh hello wall... thanks so much for holding me upright... I think I'll get out of the shower and go back to bed now..."
At this point, the fever's gone and I'm mostly back to normal except for having no energy.
Things done... showered... washed hair... mostly dressed (except for shoes)... stripped bed... took dogs outside to pee.
Things needing to be done... acquire bland food which isn't crackers and gatorade... acquire catfood and litter... wash linens and remake bed... sleep more...
Tomorrow, I have to be at work at 7 a.m., because the final patch to finish (we hope) fixing our now three-day-dead server needs to be installed and tested and we have to do it early enough that we can role back to the current state of semi-brokenness if it makes things worse instead of better. Rah.
I don't get sick often (other than respiratory things, which I'm used to)... as a result, I'm really bad at it. Definitely ready to go back to something resembling normal life.
On the plus side, I did manage a straight read-through/proofing of a friend's novel. Not sure she was expecting it to be sick-day comfort reading, but it worked! :-)
