At the rate the snow is blowing in, I may not be able to open the doors in the morning.

I wonder if "I can't get out of the house" will be considered a viable excuse if the office is open? :-)

(I've now shoveled the front porch three times and the sidewalk twice. You can't tell. I give up...)

Um, I strongly suggest that you jiggle the glass door or plot a squeeze-route through the garage before you sleep! Get yourself and your little ones an escape route in case something goes seriously wrong in the night. (Okay, something ELSE goes seriously wrong.)

Murphy's Law sez that if you prepare for it, it won't come.

I've been opening the front door and shoveling the section right in front of the door, and the garage door really is an option if I need an escape route. There's room to walk through it (and the emergency critter crates are in there anyway, in case I needed to toss everyone in the truck for any reason)... there's just not room to park in it!

It's just more fun to tell the office that I'm drifted in... :-)
