There's a diesel VW Beetle in Memphis that looks like the perfect car to end my search for a fuel-efficient daily driver, and I had a friend lined up to drive me to Memphis tomorrow to help me look at it and potentially bring it home.
Apparently just _yesterday_ a guy put a hold deposit on it.
*sigh*

Date: 2007-06-02 05:04 pm (UTC)It probably was the best house for us, but I have one gripe. We're both pack-rats, and had each come from about 1000 square feet, so we figured that 2000 square feet was about right. Most of those were more expensive than I was comfy with but this one, listed at 2100, was in about the right price range. It's a split level. Once we moved in, though, I measured it, and the only way they got that number was by including the non-finished, lacking-egress basement, which some people say is proper and others say is illegal.
