Trooper has been cleaned within an inch of its life, and sent to (and retrieved from) the local most-excellent auto repair place, where it had its oil changed and (most importantly) its pesky Check Engine light dealt with.

Laundry is in washer and dryer now.

House is a reasonable facsimile of clean.

Litterboxes have been scooped. Dog and cat food have been acquired so nobody starves while I'm away.

Buttons and ribbons have arrived and been tucked safely away in the truck so they're not forgotten.

Filk book has been mostly organized. Guitars have been placed by door.

Petsitter has been arranged (ages ago) and updated instructions sent (moments ago).

Hat (for Mad Hatter's Tea Party and later for Capricon) has failed to arrive. Swearing has occurred.

What's left?

Short version... there's a tea party on Friday before the Pegasus Nominees concert. Entrance requires a hat. If you don't provide hat, they will.

At this point, I may be wearing a baseball cap. *sigh* (I had a perfectly lovely pirate hat on order, and now it's not only out of stock, it's discontinued.)

And on top of everything else, the black cuffed-at-the-ankles dance pants that I know I had at Conclave ('cause I wore them for the concert) are nowhere to be found in my house. *double sigh* This does not make me happy, 'cause they were new, and not inexpensive, and dammit they were comfy and I wanted to wear them this weekend! (Hotel has been called... we shall see...)

And yeah... I'm bummed about the pants. I'm still crossing my fingers that they'll turn up at the hotel, but I haven't heard from 'em yet.

If hotel has the pants and will give them to an intermediary -- I'm leaving on Friday for OVFF and will be willing to run out to the Clave hotel, being semi-local.

Thanks! If I can actually get a human at the hotel (so far I've left voicemail for lost and found), and if they have good news for me, that would be _wonderful_. I'll keep you posted here if I hear anything.

The wayward pants have surfaced!

I'd forgotten how lightweight they are, and they'd managed to hide between two black t-shirts where I didn't see them.

Life is good. Hotel has been called and told that they're found. Thanks for the offer to pick 'em up if they'd been left behind! :-)
