Yay for Zicam and Airborne

I managed to fight off the post-Capricon crud. Yay!

I don't know if my body was already planning to fight it off anyway or if the double-whammy of new cold remedies really helped, but the cold is gone. Gone gone gone. And this makes me a happy camper.

I'd been hearing wonders about Zicam, which is a homeopathic remedy for colds, and it turns out there's a spray-in-your-mouth version (since I'm not fond of nasal sprays, which is the normal Zicam delivery method), so I decided to give it a try. My trainer at the gym commented that his wife swears by Airborne, which is a fizzy (like Alka Seltzer) concoction of herbs and things like vitamins A, C and E and Zinc. Since the two didn't have any overlap or seem to have any conflicts, I decided to try both.

And it worked. No more cold. Yay.

Well, I'm jealous. I've had the FLU for the past 5 days. I swear by Airborne too. It works GREAT against the cold. I think it even minimized the stuffy/sniffly part of the flu. Didn't do anything for the feverish achy part though. :(

Yuck... yeah, I'd much rather have my near-miss with the cold (or even the actual cold) than a case of the flu.
