Dream of a Far Light... mixdown starts tomorrow!

min0taur and I have a date (don't worry, Sally approved it!) to go spend tomorrow evening with Rick, our very favorite studio engineer. This will be our first mixing session for the upcoming "Dream of a Far Light" project, which is taking shape quite nicely. I'm not even sure how many songs we've got completely ready to mix. I know there are one or two where I need to lay down additional backing vocals, and Sally still has some drum tracks to do and we need to get a few fiddle tracks recorded, but we're getting very very close. I should have more of an update on where the project as a whole stands after tomorrow night! :-)

In other Far Light news, Wild Mercy's concert at Capricon will be entirely material from the new project, with the possible exception of one pirate song at the end, since that's the theme for Cap this year. Fiddler Amy, aka sweetmusic_27, will be joining us for the Capricon concert, and she'll also be with us at Marcon at the end of May, when we plan to have the CD release and when we'll be performing the whooooooole thing. Wheee!
