2007, on the whole, wasn't an awful year, but November and December sucked hugely for entirely too many of my circle of friends, so I'm not at all unhappy to put 2007 behind us.

Here's hoping that 2008 is a healthy, happy and financially stable year... for us, for our families (biological or chosen, human or critter), and for everyone we hold dear.

an early New Year's gathering...

I'm off to celebrate New Year's Wild Mercy style... with friends, food, laughter and Munchkin. Due to various illnesses and travel plans, it's been entirely too long since Wild Mercy has had a chance to just get together and hang out, so I'm looking forward to an afternoon of catching up with everyone.

We're gathering early this year so that we can all be off the road again before the crazies come out (and so that [livejournal.com profile] harperjen and Phil can put Maddie to bed at a reasonable hour), so I'll probably be home and online again before midnight.

But just in case I'm not... Happy New Year's to all my friends... and may 2008 be a distinct improvement over 2007!
