pleasantly productive weekend...

Well, I didn't do everything that I'd hoped to do this weekend, but I still got a lot done!

Friday afternoon... mostly lazy, plus a load of dog laundry and a sink full of dishes (I have a dishwasher, but my water softener's on the fritz so the dishwasher leaves major spots)

Saturday... read some, caught up on some TV, caught up on sleep, picked up cat food before the pet food shop closed for the weekend, did more dishes, did a load of my laundry, took in a baseball game and fireworks with Sally.

Sunday... did a bunch of Wild Mercy "paperwork" and another load of laundry, then went to a recording session with min0taur and harperjen to lay down some more harmony vocals for "Dream of a Far Light".

Today... another load of dog laundry (a couple of towels that I missed the first time), hand-washed and dried the Beetle, RainXed all of its windows (and boy is my shoulder sore now!), went back and recorded a few more tracks w/ Barry, read some more, watched one of the best tennis matches I've seen in years (Tommy Haas beating James Blake in a tie-breaker to go to the US Open men's quarter-finals... absolutely amazing match), scrubbed the kitchen countertops and mopped the floor.

I'm determined to do at least one more load of laundry before bedtime, and I'm going to collect all the glassware that collects all over the house and do another sink of dishes so that everything's back in the cabinets where it belongs.

All-in-all, an excellent mix of fun stuff and productivity. :-)
